A Neuroscience Qualification
Entry into training

The 11111NAT – Advanced Diploma of Neuroscience of Leadership is designed for any person in a leadership or management role or wishing to move into such a role. The course is suitable for people in any industry who are required to lead or influence workplace behaviour, drive engagement and collaboration, and facilitate critical thinking and change agility and sustainability. The outcomes support the acquisition and application of skills and knowledge in the neuroscience of leadership.

Essential entry requirements
    Entrants to the Advanced Diploma of Neuroscience of Leadership must:
    • be over 18 years of age; and
    • have experience working in a management or leadership role involving the exercise of independent judgement and decision making skills
    • be currently employed/self-employed in a management or leadership role or a consulting/coaching role or looking to move into a management or leadership position
    Recommended entry requirements

    It is recommended entrants have:

    • minimum Certificate IV level qualification in any field of study, together with experience working in a management or leadership role.
    • have sound literacy and solid English language skills in order to understand and interpret terminology and concepts within the course content to facilitate successful completion
    Limitations to entry

    Students seeking entry to this course will be subject to an interview process to determine their suitability to successfully complete the course.

    This course requires students to be capable of the self-directed application of knowledge and of independent judgement and decision-making.

    Course delivery overview

    The training is delivered completely online. Students require the use of a computer and software with the following minimum specifications:

    • Microsoft Windows XP, or later, or Mac OS X or above
    • Microsoft Office or equivalent
    • Adobe Acrobat Reader or equivalent
    • Adobe Flash Player
    • Up-to-date internet browser

     

    The course starts with the Intro Module, which spans 1-3 weeks designed to ensure a smooth onboarding for students as they embark on their learning journey.

    Each of the four (4) study terms is 15 weeks, with 2-week breaks in between plus a December-January holiday break of up to 4-5 weeks.

    • The course has been developed using a flipped learning model, so content is viewed, read, or researched in students’ own time using our online platform, WebCampus.
    • Students come together for study calls with a facilitator on Microsoft Teams every two weeks for each Big Idea (Weeks 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13).
     

    The minimum time commitment to complete five course activities called ‘Big Idea Non-negotiables’ is four (4) hours every two weeks for Weeks 1 to 13:

    • Watch the Big Idea course video and read the Big Idea Learner Guide section (opportunies for reflection included, ~2 to 2.5 hours)
    • Respond to the Big Idea online discussion (~0.5 hour)
    • Participate in the Big Idea study call (~1 to 1 hour)
     

    Students have Weeks 14 to 15, plus the two-week break every term to complete the short answer questions and workplace application stories evidencing their knowledge and application.
